At this Thursday's lecture we have a guest lecture from WHO researcher and SFU Professor Emeritus Dr. Bruce Alexander -- one of the world's leading scholarly authorities on addiction. The Globalization of Addiction: A Study in Poverty of the Spirit is Dr. Alexander's recent book from Oxford University Press arguing from a Dawinian position that free market capitaism is the cause of addiction.
